I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Oregon. I primarily offer Traditional Talk Therapy, specifically Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) provided in an outdoor bucolic setting. Instead of sitting in an office downtown we sit in the garden at the farm. We are surrounded by nature, it’s peaceful and relaxing and my clients tell me it’s a good place for them to engage in the work of healing and self understanding.
My Therapeutic Frameworks include: Crisis Intervention, Principles of Empowerment, Life Stages Theory, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing & *Meaning Centered Counseling (Victor Frankl’s Logotherapy).
**The Austrian Holocaust survivor and psychiatrist Victor Frankl suggested that when faced with a situation that appears unchangeable (i.e.this moment in our Collective American Story), “we are challenged to change ourselves.” By making the choice to do that, we can turn tragedy into an occasion for growth. (Finding Meaning/David Kessler)
My clients include Men & Women of all ages, Teenagers and Children over the age of 10. My Adult and Teenage clients are diverse and varied in their presentations and reasons for working with me. It is my belief that being heard is empowering and listening is a privilege. I’m grateful to be of service to my clients. Your one journey through life is sacred, let’s start there.
Many of the children I work with are on the Spectrum. In 2023 & 2024 I was invited and went to Kerela, INDIA to give lectures on My Practice, specifically my work with Neurodivergent Children. These presentations were delivered at the recurring International Conference on Comprehensive Education for Children with Special Needs organized by Adelphi University in NYC and the Government of INDIA.
My rate is $225 per hour. All my clients are currently private pay. Am in the process of paneling for insurance (estimated May/June) I offer a sliding scale based on income. If the cost of service is prohibitive please let me know what you can reasonably afford. I will do my best to work with you.
