Meet The Horses

One unique & defining aspect of our farm which makes us unlike any other farm in Oregon where you might ride or train is that all of our horses (with the exception of Pony who was purchased at The Eugene Livestock Auction 16 years ago) were bred and not purchased. The Horses at Corbett Farm all descend from two Matriarchal Mares, Solo & Hannah both purchased in Virginia 1999. Over 25 years and three generations later all my horses are descendants of these two horses. My goal is to maintain an unbroken cradle to grave relationship with all the horses that I have brought into this world and so far this promise has been kept.

Mayday

(17 hand Shire TB Cross)

Mayday, (24)  NOW RETIRED is the patient matriarch of the herd.  Mayday is an awesome horse, she has pulled a carriage, been in a movie and a music video and a magazine shoot.  She was a solid jumper in shows in Southern California and was even a competitor in a few dressage shows.  She fox hunted for a season in LA’s West Hills Hunt Club.  She has been a friend and confidant to many.  Good Job Mayday!!!

Heathcliff aka PONY

(13 hand Welsh Pony)

Heathcliff Rocks!!! This amazing little pony now 18 was purchased as a 6 year old at the Eugene Livestock Auction on a whim. A good friend of mine Steven Schacter was visiting from LA and he insisted that I purchase this little pony. He was convinced that he was a magical creature and he was right. Pony loves people and has an interest in and an opinion on everything. As a riding pony he is bold and brave with a big jump.
